While some may be spoiled by fat-pipe broadband that can reach speeds over 500 Mb per second, Elon Musk is planning low earth orbit satellite connectivity at speeds reaching 100Mbs downlink and 20Mbs uplink. Certainly not the fastest, but likely faster than many DSL connections, and certainly throws dial-up way under the bus. Plus, it’s available in the most remote areas without a wired infrastructure backbone in place. Not for everyone, but for those who need it, a lifesaver.
