AP and Reuters have reported that both AT&T and Verizon cellular have decided and agreed to hold off on their current 5G rollout amid some recent concerns regarding the potential interference issues posed for aircraft instruments as raised by the FAA.

This move marks a dramatic and sudden change of heart just one day after the companies formally rejected a request by the government to do so.
