A 21-count indictment was filed by the U.S. Department of Justice against Hytera for conspiring to steal DMR trade secrets from Motorola Solutions. Plus, as a result of a series of separate but related judgments, Hytera owes Motorola Solutions in excess of $670 million for royalties, attorney fees, and court costs. Although separate from the criminal and civil actions, then news has cast a question on the viability of operation of Hytera US, the new corporate entity after the recent bankruptcy of the company’s US operations.
